What is Required to Connect WhatsApp Business?

Before integrating WhatsApp Business (WhatsApp Business API) into MsgBox, please ensure your account and Meta platform configurations meet the following requirements.

1. Applicable Versions

All versions of MsgBox support connecting to WhatsApp Business, including:

  • Trial
  • Starter
  • Professional
  • Enterprise

2. Core Prerequisites

  • A "Clean" Phone Number: You need a phone number that is not currently associated with any personal or business WhatsApp account. If the number has been registered with WhatsApp before, please delete that account first.
  • Facebook Page: You must have an existing Facebook Page.
  • Meta Business Manager (BM): You need access to Meta Business Suite. We highly recommend completing Business Verification as soon as possible to increase your message sending limits.

3. Important Restrictions & Notes

Account Login Restrictions

API Exclusivity: Once connected to MsgBox via the API, this WhatsApp number cannot be logged into the mobile WhatsApp App or the desktop client. All messaging will be handled exclusively within the MsgBox Inbox.

  • Administrator Permissions: The person performing the authorization must have Full Control (Primary Admin) permissions for the relevant Meta Business Manager.
  • Number Verification: During the connection process, the number must be able to receive an international verification SMS or voice call from Meta.

4. Pricing Details

In addition to the MsgBox subscription fee, Meta officially charges Conversation-based pricing for the WhatsApp Business channel. Please refer to Meta's official documentation for specific pricing standards.
